JOB SUMMARY:
This position is the Company's "management representative" financially responsible for the successful and profitable completion of his/her projects. The project manager is to manage and control the scope of work defined in the project contract documents, as well as the establishment and maintenance of effective professional working relationships with the owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, Inspectors, and peers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, horticulture or other related, or 4 years related field, or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements.
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in project management, estimating or field management
- Construction landscape services experience preferred
License or Certification
- As required by state and federal law
- Valid driver license issued by the state were employed
- PM Sills or PMSCP Certification a preferred
- C-27 a plus
- OSHA Safety Certificate a plus
- Certified Construction Manager a plus
Specialized Skills
- General knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, document management, and cost forecasting.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- General plant, irrigation, construction, and drainage knowledge.
- General knowledge of material and labor costs.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize job responsibilities.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- English/Spanish training is highly encouraged for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintain proper staffing and equipment to meet the needs of the scheduled projects.
- Semi-Monthly progress assessment on all projects to determine current billing needs and tracking the project to budget.
- Ensure that all billing is delivered in a timely manner per the terms of each contract and that all payments are received per company AR policy.
- Adhere to company training and safety programs while developing all team members.
- Investigate any accident or safety violation, prepare appropriate reports, take action to correct and prevent future occurrences.
- Assist with terminations and disciplinary issues, training, coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to reach their greatest potential and established goals for the individual and the department.
- Conducts timely performance reviews of direct reports and take corrective actions when appropriate.
- Review designs and estimates by salespeople for accuracy.
- Assist in the refinement of the estimating system by providing production rates and other data about installation practices.
- Oversee project management before project supervisors start the project.
- Assist in the creation of construction folders and pre-construction meetings.
- Responsible for the overall quality of assigned landscape projects.
- Visit project sites on a regular basis, observing organization of work, identifying and resolving training issues, and taking necessary actions to correct problems, improve quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a high level of good housekeeping and care of company assets in the field, vehicles, shop, and customer work sites.
- Ensure that Pre-and Post-walkthroughs are conducted.
- Snow duties as assigned.
- Provide value-engineering ideas to improve the Company’s competitive position.
- Seek ways to automate and streamline the estimating process.

Please note that the salary information shown below is provided in compliance with state specific laws. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations, and therefore may be different in other locations or operating divisions.

Pay range: $70,000 - $90,000
